Why Newsletters Are Better Than Blogs – Why A Nifty Newsletter Might Beat Out A Blah Blog

Posted ByKylie PerkinsMarch 20, 2020

Commenting on blogs to increase backlinks to your blog is nothing new. People have left comments on blogs for this very reason for, well, just about as long as blogging has been around. Unfortunately, due to bad blogging advice, automated blog commenting software, and leaving the wrong comments on the wrong blogs – leaving comments on blogs to increase backlinks is quickly becoming a dead practice.

Another advantage is that blogs were as easy to use as a word processor application. This made it simple to use for people who did not know how to program. As the blog programs advanced, programmers started switching. Now there are many ways to adapt a blog and give it a unique feel.

Everyone knows that online blogs are the future of the internet, they are search engine friendly and get listed very quickly, which is why many people are hosting their blogs on their own servers now because they see the importance to their business. The last thing any Internet Business Owner wants to happen is that their blog is shut down at Blogger or any other free blog hosting site.

Paid consultations – Just like being a speaker in a seminar, having paid consultations is an indirect way to do blogging for profits. Through your blogs, you establish your expertise and credibility on a subject matter. This way, some people will look forward to consulting with you about their concerns.

If you’re a product-based business, always make sure they actually feature products on the blog before you pitch something. If they do, check their About section, their Contact section, and/or look for a Review Policy section. Most learn to swig that accept product reviews or features list the information on how to pitch to them somewhere on the site.

Sure it took time. Sure it meant she had to foot the bill to send review copies to these folks. But these blog placements helped her become extremely well connected, and while her direct-pitching efforts to the ‘big guys’ were proving fruitless, these media folks respected the opinion of bloggers enough to book her based on their recommendation.

The key is being consistent. As long as you are prepared to put in the time and effort to work on your blog on a regular basis, then you will soon start seeing a good income. Once you are earning some money with your blog then you can repeat the process with a new blog, but remember not to neglect your first blog when moving on to a second. keep focused and you will soon see online success.
