10 Home Based Business Ideas That You Can Start Even If You Have No Capital

When you decide to run your own bookkeeping business, one of your biggest problems getting started is finding clients. If you are smart, you will have a few clients set up before you quit your regular job. But, where do you find these clients?

Ultimately accounting software will become the backbone of your accounting diploma business. So don’t hesitate on investing in one. You need to train yourself on using the software as well, as you will be depending a lot on this software.

Maybe you have always desired your own home business; why not make the New Year a year of change. Why not pursue that idea you have kept tucked in the back of your mind. Understand, of course, that it is not wise to just quit your day job and leap into a home business. You can, at the very least, though, begin the necessary planning to get the process going.

If you have a computer at home, you MUST have someone you can call to assist you with the hard problems, like security programs, viruses, or any one of the hundreds of malfunctions and error messages that are sure to pop up. You could call your computer’s manufacturer… if you’re happy to sit on hold on the phone for long enough to cook a large turkey. Most of us aren’t. So you need your own personal IT department. If you aren’t fortunate enough to be married to a computer geek, as I am, perhaps you can call a friend. Or one bookkeeping courses of your children. Or grandchildren. Or anyone under 20. Be nice to them – at first you’ll need them a lot!

If you are still being billed an hourly rate after the first three months then it’s time to sit down with your bookkeeper and find out how you can work together better so that you can create a more cost-effective method.

Forget to update your books. Sometimes, it is very easy to forget updating your book if you buy goods or services with cash or your company credit card. This will create trouble in the future as the numbers on your book will not tally with the numbers on the bank statement.

Next time you are feeling a little uninspired or worn out, consider doing something a little different. Try something new. Have some fun and learn to laugh. Understand that all work and no play can make you a very dull person. You will be surprised at what you learn and how that can help you grow and consequently you can apply some new growth concepts to your business!
