Common Thoughts That Kill Inspiration

Posted ByKylie PerkinsMarch 20, 2020

If you are like most brides you have been looking forward to your wedding day since you were 10. You have probably imagined your perfect dress, your perfect cake and walking down the aisle with your perfect person too. There is no question every bride wants her wedding to be an unforgettable day, a magical time, and a perfect event that will inspire your guests to weep tears of joy. But how do you achieve this perfection? Well, it certainly helps to start with inspiration. Here are a few tips to figure out your wedding style.

There’s nothing more thoughtful than a gift of get inspiration…Inspiration to succeed, to think, to persist, to relax, to strive or sometimes just to survive. Try these ideas to help you choose inspiring gifts for gifting in corporate settings like trainings, seminars or just to say Well Done!

Every employee was standing next to their work station while watching motivational videos. People were talking through the loud speakers in the store while the employees screamed, smiled, jumped, and did light exercises.

Putting a number on everything means for example coming up with mini goals that are attached to numbers. For example, you could have goals of trying to accomplish a certain amount of calories burned for the day, a certain amount of calories eaten for the day, the amount of ounces of water you drink for the day, accomplishing a total amount of sit-ups or push-ups throughout the day, and more.

People often say: ‘I know it is important to me but I am just not that motivated’. These people rarely start or change anything because they are waiting to be motivated first. They somehow think that the only way they can move towards something (or away from something) is to be motivated. Wrong! They somehow expect that motivation will appear out of thin air and this will magically hurdle them into action towards their goal. Don’t sit around waiting for motivation to magically appear…it doesn’t and it won’t! The motivation bus will never arrive no matter how long you wait for it.

How can we stop this? Is there a way to prevent your personal goals from looking like a child’s Christmas wish list, full of expectations ranging from reasonable to impossible?

Your brain actually resists the change; not because it is trying to make things hard for you, but it does so for a very good reason. Your brain’s basic function is to keep you safe. Its main interest is your survival.

True motivation can be exciting. It fills you with enthusiasm and anticipation. You bounce out of bed every morning eager to go. Each new day is a new adventure to you. And indeed you can sustain motivation for as long as you want, as long as you try. Remember that motivation depends mainly on two things: emotions and imagination. Your emotions fire your feelings, and give you the urge to continue, and your imagination helps stoke the fire.
