When it comes to energy conservation there are many avenues you can take to cut back on energy consumption and also save you some extra money. We have only one planet so we better take care of it by being more conservative with our energy resources.

Although that is a possible threat, we still couldn’t ignore the fact that hydropower energy is indeed one of the best alternative sources of energy that we have.

We refer to the power grid when we say “the grid”. It is the linked system that is supposed to deliver electricity to the people. Every general house has a power supply, access to natural gas and water; and not to forget, telephone. Living off the grid would mean not using these facilities and creating their own energy. For example; you are living off the grid when you are not having a water supply line at your home and are relying on the sewage and city water. Digging wells and using the cistern system for water supply is another way in which you can live off the grid.

If you are a keen enthusiast on environment protection, you can be sure of unsustainable power supplier. If you are ready for a little alteration of your life style you will be a real success. The first and foremost will be the solar panels. If you are living in a place where the solar rays are plenty and your roof can support the installation of solar panels you are the appropriate person for this. If you can balance the consumption of power from the grid and from the solar panels, there are avenues that you can feed back some of your excess power back to the grid. They will reward you for this gesture.

The sun is located in the center of the solar system we call home. Energy from the sun radiates out from the center warming the planets in varying degrees relative to their distance from it.

Finally, salt caverns can store CO2 from big industry. Though a newer idea, projects are being put together where heavy carbon producing plants are having their CO2 piped into these salt caverns for storage instead of releasing it into the atmosphere. Governments are rewarding these companies with carbon credits.
