How Much Should Car Repairs Cost?

Posted ByKylie PerkinsMay 19, 2020

I don’t know about you but when the price of gas went over three dollars a gallon and my grocery bill nearly doubled, I knew I had to do something. The oil company’s recent billion dollar profit report convinced me no one is going to do anything to help out the little guys like you and I.

I have bought and sold thousands of junk cars, and just to be honest about it, several of the cars I have bought, were not “junk cars” at all. The owner simply wanted to get rid of the car, so to the owner it was a junk car, however for me buying it, definitely NOT a junk car! On many occasions I have immediately sold the car for somewhere between 2-3 times what I had paid for it in mere minutes of the transaction.

Three of the boost control mods are: Bleeder-T Mod, Clamp Mod, and the VSV Bypass Mod. Each of these modifications raise boost levels without the use of a boost controller. But you have to keep a close eye on your boost gauge, and make sure they are not allowing the turbos to boost too high (18psi is a safe level).

By using electrolysis, you can take ordinary water and break it down to its core elements of hydrogen and oxygen. Actually the hydrogen atoms remain bonded together and the resulting structure is known recycle catalytic converters as HHO or Brown’s gas.

Absolutely. Unless you don’t mind sitting in your car while it idles down every single time you need to turn the car off. A Turbo timer keeps the engine running for a preset time once you turn off the ignition. So you can remove your keys, and lock up the car and not have to worry about it, it will shut off on it’s own. This is important for the life of the turbos. If the turbos are not given time to cool down, it can overheat the oil and cause coking which will block oil flow to the turbos and damage bearings and cook seals.

Price. The overall price of an exhaust system varies wildly depending on materials used and manufacturers. Be prepared to pay minimum $650 for a cat back and $850 for a turbo back.

Your decision regarding whether to repair your older vehicle or buy a new one should be based on items you feel are important. Keep your budget in mind, avoid buying out of desperation, and run the numbers. You may discover that asking your mechanic to overhaul the engine may be more trouble than it’s worth.
