Replace Your Wedding Dj With An Ipod

Posted ByKylie PerkinsOctober 11, 2019

Another traditional thing that happens during wedding reception is the father and daughter dance. This is actually emotional since the dance symbolizes that the father is willing and ready to give her daughter to a new protector and provider. It is somewhat saying good-bye to the little girl he once carried around on his shoulders, read bedtime stories, and comfort her when shes hurt. Although he will still be there for her but this time it is different.

The example on that video is by the ADJA (American Disc Jockey Association). There is a similar group in Australia called the DJAA (Disc Jockey Alliance Australia). The DJAA have certain standards and ethics which their members must adhere to. More about the DJAA in a later post.

If you have a wedding theme, it must match the food. This real helps to get a great feeling and to keep the flow alive. On top of this, you must have a lot of drinks. After all, there should be a lot of dances at the wedding and you must have a lot of stuff for people to drink and to dance. The most important part of the wedding is the music. You can just hire a wedding singer or a Wedding DJ to play the music. Without good music, the wedding is not a real party. The same importance has the wedding party favors. This is a chance to thank everyone for coming. A lot of people do not think that the wedding party favors are a big deal, but this is a reason for the people to go to a wedding.

Live bands take the stress away and tailor the musical experience to your exact wishes. A live band can be hired at a reasonable cost, often cheaper than a DJ, and most offer the opportunity of hearing the band live or on recordings on their websites.

Our biggest task throughout a wedding reception is actually to act as a behind-the-scenes coordinator. You would be surprised how much work our MC’s do at a wedding reception that people don’t see. If you ask any of our past Platinum or Ultimate Package clients, I’m sure they will tell you that it was their wedding MC who made their reception come together on the night. This process starts months out from a wedding as your wedding MC will work with you to help create a timeline which compliments the venue’s food service times and also paces the reception so that you get full enjoyment of your special day, plus the flexibility needed to ensure a successful event.

With an iPod, you don’t get the timing or beat-mixing and fading that a professional DJ does. This can lead to awkward moments on the dance floor as people have to stop dancing to wait for the next song.

Of course you wouldn’t want to settle for an old bar band or some newbie DJ to ruin your reception. So to be sure you should interview your DJ before finalizing.

Another benefit of having Wedding DJ Music is that it can actually be cheaper for you in the long run. They provide all of the equipment and have less “demands” for set up than bands do. It is easier to have one person managing the entertainment than four or five trying to call the shots. What ever you choose just remember you do have the right to ask for specific songs and request they do not play specific songs. Keep in touch with your DJ in case any changes need to be made.
