The reason many people with a home business fail is because they could not follow a business plan. Some people never even created a business plan when they started their business. For any home business to succeed, rules must be created and followed. These rules do not have to be complicated and difficult to follow, but you might have to force yourself to follow them. The most important business rule to follow is discipline. Many people fail in this department because they get too caught up in their freedom.
Call in-house production departments at the larger corporations in your area and offer to help any way you can. They’ll usually throw a boring, low-budget work at you. However, money is money when business is slow so don’t be picky.
You cannot waste time listening to how hard it is, nor can you waste time trying to convince other people that you offer the best service and products around. There will always be competition but you’ve got to be aggressive, relentless at it.
